Code of Conduct

Please help us maintain the Mercato experience.  To enhance everyone’s enjoyment at the Center please observe the following while at Mercato:

General Rules

  • Please show common courtesy to fellow guests by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior.  For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running on sidewalks or through the streets. 
  • Open cans, bottles or other receptacles containing any alcoholic beverage are permitted only in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol
  • No gang-related attire or activity, offensive clothing, tattoos, including that with obscene language or graphics
  • No apparel that obscures the face unless worn for religious reasons or medical purposes
  • No visible undergarments or clothing which exposes portions of the skin which may be viewed as inappropriate for a family-friendly environment
  • Mercato closes at 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 6:00 PM on Sunday when the retail stores close.  At this time, you are welcome to patronize any of the restaurants or businesses that remain open.  All visitors under age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian after 8:00 PM, and visitors under age 21 are not permitted after 10:00 PM. 
  • Photographing or videotaping the interior or exterior of Mercato for commercial purposes is not permitted.  Mercato reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at Mercato, without the express written consent of those depicted in the photograph/video.
  • Seating areas and benches are to be used by Mercato patrons.  Sitting or playing on stages or stairwells is not permitted.
  • Please drive responsibly and refrain from speeding.  The posted speed limit in the parking garage is 10 mph.  Modified mufflers or horns that are excessively loud are not permitted.  
  • No excessively torn clothing
  • Shirts and shoes are required

Pet Policy

Furry family members are welcome in the common areas of Mercato; however, we ask that you respect the following rules:

  • All dogs must have current vaccinations
  • All dogs must be leashed and supervised.  Aggressive behavior will not be permitted.
  • Please clean up after your dog.  Dog waste stations are located at the event lawn, across from Rocco’s, for your convenience.
  • Each Mercato merchant reserves the right to institute their own pet policy.  Please ask permission before entering any establishment with your dog.

DURING YOUR STAY, THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED:

  • Using obscene language, shouting and playing music without the use of headphones
  • Littering, defacing or destroying property
  • Loitering in front of or blocking stores, restaurants, theaters, offices, parking area, sidewalks, streets or common areas
  • Skating, skateboarding, bicycle riding on sidewalks, running, climbing or standing on furniture, walls or trees
  • Distributing material, soliciting, demonstrating, conducting interviews, taking professional photos, video or audio recordings (without prior Mercato management approval)
  • Using the elevators and/or escalator in a means inconsistent with its design.  Intentionally misusing the equipment can cause extensive damage and may lead to injury. 
  • Protesting or engaging in political or religious demonstrations or displays
  • The sale, use or distribution of illegal drugs
  • Using fireworks of any kind
  • Carrying a weapon of any kind, including firearms

Mercato, including its designated roadways and parking lots, is private property. Your entry onto the premises of Mercato constitutes your consent to abide by all of these rules. If you fail or refuse to follow this Code of Conduct, you will be asked to leave the property. If you fail or refuse to leave the property when requested to do so, you may be prosecuted for Criminal trespass.  If you have any questions about the Mercato Code of Conduct, please contact the management office at 239-254-1080.
